5 Accounts Attacked In Defamation Case, Rizky Billar Will Make New Report To Police

JAKARTA - Artist Rizky Billar has finished consulting with Polda Metro Jaya investigators regarding the process of handling cases of alleged defamation. From the results of the consultation, Rizky decided to make a new report with the same case.

"We have made a new report that there are persons suspected of having several accounts that are threatening and defaming our clients, Billar and Lesti," said Rizky Billar's lawyer, Sandy Arifin, to reporters, Tuesday, November 23.

The reason for making this report again is because there are several accounts that are considered to have insulted. So, the police think that there is a need for a new police report (LP) as a basis for investigation.

"We are still multiplying the data. Because there are more than 5 people. For (old reports) it is still in the process of being investigated," explained Sandy.

In line with his attorney, Rizky said the report with the same substance aims to provide a deterrent effect to the perpetrators. He hopes that in the future there will be no similar actions or cases.

"Yes, my goal in doing this is to provide a deterrent effect to the perpetrators so that in the future the perpetrators will be an example for others, social media users will be wiser," said Rizky Billar.

On the other hand, Rizky Billar said that his wife, Lesti, did not really care about the actions of these accounts. However, as a husband he thought he had to do something.

"He's not too worried, but as a husband, it's natural for my wife to hear news like this so we can move quickly," said Rizky.

The alleged defamation began when a social media account uploaded a photo of Rizky Billar on July 20. The photo contains writing that is said to have elements of defamation.
