Police Find Letter For Jokowi On Cellphone Of NGO Chair Who Suspected Of Extorting IDR 2.5 Billion At The Ministry

JAKARTA - Central Jakarta Metro Police have sufficient evidence to identify the DPP chairman of the Anti-Corruption People's Struggle NGO (Tamperak) with the initials KPP as a suspect.

One of the pieces of evidence in possession is a cell phone belonging to the suspect. The reason, in the cell phone there is a number of evidence of threats and extortion.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol. Hengki Haryadi explained, his party also confiscated the crime equipment of other KPP suspects.

"The instrument of crime to scare is in the form of a letter that will be sent to the President and then to Commission 3 and so on. This is an instrumental offense against the leadership of the TNI and Polri, this is a crime tool," said Kombes Pol Hengki, Tuesday, November 23.

Hengki said that in the extortion case carried out by the suspect KPP, the investigation process was carried out professionally.

"The investigation process is running professionally, the evidence is more than adequate through a careful investigation process," he said.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Investigators are also still developing the case to find out if there are other suspects.

"If there are other suspects involved in this case, we will immediately secure them," he said.

Kombes Pol Hengki asked the public or agencies to immediately report to the Central Jakarta Metro Police if they were victims of extortion.
