Positive COVID-19, Akhyar Nasution Announces Natural Conditions Of Cytokine Storm

MEDAN - Acting (Plt) Mayor of Medan Akhyar Nasution told of his health condition after testing positive for COVID-19. Akhyar said his condition was getting better

"Thank God, the current condition is getting better. The feeling of fever, the cough has started to disappear, ”said Akhyar in a video recording, Friday, August 7.

Akhyar said he had undergone two swab tests with a negative result of the new corona virus. Only in the third test, Akhyar tested positive for COVID-19.

Akhyar said he was experiencing a cytokine storm. According to him, cytokine storm is a condition of antibody coordination particles that make the jump from the lower part of the lungs to the middle and upper parts.

"This is what causes me to be positive," he said.

It is planned that Akhyar will undergo another swab test on August 13 and 14. Akhyar asked for support for his medical treatment

"Please pray for support from all my friends, friends, God willing, I can recover again," he said.

Previously, the head of the Medan Health Service, Edwin Effendi, said that Akhyar Nasution had a fever on Monday, August 3. At that time, Akhyar immediately went to the hospital.

"In the afternoon the swab was carried out, and Tuesday morning the results were positive," Edwin told reporters in Medan, Wednesday, August 5.

After Akhyar tested positive for COVID-19, the medical team immediately examined people who had close contact. This was also done to Akhyar's family.
