Arteria Dahlan's Feud With Woman Claiming To Be The Son Of A Three-star General Of The TNI: Peaceful Efforts But Reporting To Each Other

JAKARTA - The police intervened to handle the feud between DPR RI member Arteria Dahlan and a woman who claimed to be a three-star child of the TNI. Where, the trigger of the feud is called because of a trivial thing.

The feud is said to have started when both parties were on the plane. Arteria and his entourage who were in the economy seat or right behind the business class were deemed to have hindered the woman who claimed to be the daughter of the three-star general.

In fact, Arteria's entourage was only a few people including herself and her 80-year-old mother.

Until finally the feud continued outside the plane or at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. In fact, the feud was recorded in a video which later went viral on social media.

Mediation Effort

The police in charge of this matter have taken the first steps to reconcile the two parties. The police tried to mediate between Arteria Dahlan and the woman.

"For the time being, it is still being mediated," said the Head of Public Relations of the Soekarno Hatta Airport Police, AKP Prayogo, to VOI, Monday, November 22.

The purpose of this mediation, said Prayogo, is for the two parties to make peace. Thus, the issue does not need to be processed legally.

"To find the best way for both parties," said Prayogo.

However, in the process, the police have not determined a time to bring the two together.,

"There is no (mediation schedule). Technically it depends on the investigator, how, where depends on the investigator," said Prayogo.

Report each other

This mediation effort was carried out because both parties reported to each other. The report was made shortly after the feud occurred or Sunday, November 21.

"That's right (reporting each other)," said Prayogo.

In that report, they used the same criminal article, namely, 315 of the Criminal Code. The article is about humiliation.

In detail, Article 315 of the Criminal Code contains every intentional insult that is not in the nature of defamation or written defamation committed against a person, either in public orally or in writing, or in front of the person himself by word of mouth or deed, or by a letter sent or received to him, shall be threatened with light contempt with a maximum imprisonment of four months and two weeks or a maximum fine of four thousand five hundred rupiahs.
