Makassar Mayor Supports Legal Process In Batua Hospital Corruption Case
MAKASSAR - Makassar Mayor Moh Ramdhan Pomanto fully supports the legal process related to the alleged corruption in the Batua Hospital construction project that cost the state Rp22 billion.
"We leave it to the legal process. And we must respect the legal process," said Ramdhan on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Makassar PDAM's Green Open Space, South Sulawesi, quoted by Antara, Monday, November 22.
The man who is familiarly called Danny Pomanto stated that he will always be at the forefront in terms of eradicating corruption and is ready to assist law enforcement for criminal violations committed by the suspects.
"I have always been at the forefront of government transparency so that all can see wisely. Because in Makassar law and politics are too side by side. Let the legal process run. We support the efforts of the police, the prosecutor's office from the beginning," he emphasized.
Although he is often linked to these cases, there is no evidence of his involvement, so he is ready to support the legal process related to the corruption case.
"I support it, because it is more transparent. People know better how my government works. Even if there is something related to the law, it's a personal responsibility," he said.
Mentioned that there are still some suspects who are ASN status and are still carrying out activities at government offices within the Makassar City Government, he said, not wanting to comment further, because they have been handled by law enforcement.
"That's a matter for the police and the prosecutor's office. Not all laws must be immediately arrested. If it's a cooperative person, it's not. That's the decision of the legal apparatus and we don't interfere with it. I can't also comment on it," he said.
Previously, the South Sulawesi Police named 13 suspects in the alleged corruption case in the construction of the Batua Makassar Hospital. The suspects are doctors and contractors, respectively Doctor AN, Doctor SR, MA, FM, HS, MW, AS, Engineer MK, HIHS, AEH, DR, APR, and R.
The project is located on Jalan Abdullah Daeng Sirua, Makassar City, South Sulawesi, carried out by partners from PT Sultana Nugraha with a budget of Rp. 25.5 billion. From the results of the examination and audit of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK), state losses were estimated at Rp22 billion.
The Head of the Legal Information Section, the South Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office, Idil said, of the 13 case files of the alleged corruption of the Type C Hospital which were submitted by the South Sulawesi Regional Police investigators to the Prosecutor's Office Research Team, one was returned because it was considered incomplete, both formally and materially.
"One file was returned to be completed. The initials are EHS," said Idil.
