Kadin Invites Puan Maharani To Attend Rapimnas, Ketum Arsjad Rasjid: We Hope He Will Give Feedback

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, was invited to attend the National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chamber of Commerce and Industry). The National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Rapimnas will be held in Bali on December 3-4.

The Rapimnas invitation was delivered directly by the management of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Chairman of Kadin M Arsjad Rasjid and his staff met with Puan at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday 22 November.

"We hope that the chairman of the DPR RI will be pleased to attend the Kadin Rapimnas as well as provide input for the Kadin work program," said Arsjad to Puan.

In the meeting with Puan, Arsyad Rasjid was accompanied by 12 people from the ranks of the Kadin central board. Among them are the Deputy General Chairperson of Eka Sastra, a number of Coordinators of the Deputy General Chairmen namely Shinta W Kamdani, Carmelita Hartoto, Mulyadi Jayabaya to the deputy heads of fields.

"This meeting also introduces the board of the Central Chamber of Commerce for 2021-2026 to the chairwoman of the DPR, Puan Maharani," said Arsjad Rasjid.

Kadin officials also discussed with the first woman who served as Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives about the 4 pillars of the Kadin program. Arsjad Rasjid detailed the 4 pillars of the program.

"That is strengthening health, regional economic development, entrepreneurship and competence as well as strengthening internal organizations," he said.

Puan also welcomed Kadin's 4 pillars program. According to him, Kadin's flagship programs can help the national economy recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

"It is very relevant for economic recovery during this pandemic. Kadin must be the driving force for handling and recovering the national economy," said Puan.

The former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture hopes that Kadin will continue to cooperate and communicate with the government and the DPR. Puan reminded all elements of the nation to unite to realize an advanced Indonesia.

"As a representative of the business world, Kadin must be actively involved and work together with the government and the DPR in building this nation," he said.

This early December Kadin National Rapimnas was the first Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Rapimnas after the election of the board for the 2021-2026 period. The management for this period is the result of the VIII Kadin National Conference (Munas) which was held in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, last May.
