JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu) Suahasil Nazara is optimistic that the realization of the use of the 2021 National Economic Recovery (PEN) funds can sit at the level of 95 percent by the close of 2021. According to him, the acceleration of budget absorption will be even faster in the remaining less than two months.

"We estimate that 95 percent of PEN will be realized by the end of the year with the health component most likely to be high in realization because until now there is still a process for completing hospital bills (RS) and we hope it can be completed in the 2021 period," he said in a statement. webinar on Monday, November 22.

From the data shared by the Deputy Minister of Finance, as of November 19 last week, PEN absorption was recorded at Rp.495.77 trillion, or around 66.6 percent of the ceiling of Rp.744.77 trillion. Meanwhile, the health cluster has a ceiling of IDR 214.96 trillion with a realization of IDR 135 trillion or 63 percent of the budget.

"This health budget is used for emergency hospitals, distribution of drug packages, paying for the treatment costs of 759,940 COVID-19 patients, incentives for 1.3 million health workers, compensation for the death of 501 health workers, procurement of 220 million vaccine doses, and assistance for JKN contributions for 34.71 million people. , he said.

Then, four other 2021 PEN clusters, namely social protection (perlinsos) have realized Rp140 trillion from a ceiling of Rp186 trillion, priority program clusters of Rp75 trillion from a ceiling of Rp117 trillion.

Then, the MSME and corporate support cluster was realized at IDR 81 trillion from the IDR 162 trillion ceiling, and the business incentive cluster of IDR 62.47 trillion from the IDR 62.83 trillion ceiling.

"Especially for business incentives, we estimate that it will exceed the target set and the government will accommodate this," he said.

Meanwhile for the 2022 PEN, the government decided to allocate funds amounting to Rp321.2 trillion by removing the business incentive cluster.
