Corresponding To The Club, PT LIB Has Determined The Continuation Kick-Off For The League 2 Competition

JAKARTA - After the League 1 competition, PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) has now determined when the League 2 continuation will be started. The League 2 competition will begin on 17 October.

This is stated in letter number 261 / LIB-KOM / VIII / 2020 which has been sent to the 24 contestant clubs. However, the League 2 kick-off schedule may change depending on the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

"The format is a home tournament with a single round robin," said Director of PT LIB, Akhmad Hadian Lukita to VOI, Friday, August 7.

The continuation of the League 2 competition will begin with a preliminary round which is divided into four groups and each consisting of six clubs. Then the quarter-finals followed by eight clubs and divided into two groups.

However, PT LIB has not announced the venue for the match to be used for the continuation of the League 2 competition. The group division has also not been determined.

"For the semifinals and finals, a single match applies," said Operational Director of PT LIB, Inspector General of Police (P) Drs. Sudjarno.

Just like in League 1, League 2 competition matches will also be held without spectators. Organizers will also implement strict health protocols. Regarding the details of its implementation, PT LIB will explain during the manager's meeting with the club.

"We will also hold a medical workshop," said Sudjarno.
