BEKASI - Bekasi Metro Police arrested two perpetrators of theft at the Transmart Bekasi Apartment. When arrested, the perpetrator tried to escape. But the attempt failed. The two perpetrators became the target of local residents

Head of Public Relations of the Bekasi Metro Police, Kompol Erna Ruswing Andari, said the incident started when K and BFS tried to steal at the Transmart Bekasi apartment, Jalan Ir. H. Juanda in East Bekasi, Bekasi City.
Erna said, the two suspects disguised themselves as apartment project workers using fake ID cards.
"The suspect went straight into the 10-room apartment room, and after being in the bathroom, suspect one took the bath shower sanitary ware, each of which was in the apartment bathroom with his bare hands by turning the thread and then putting it in a backpack," said Erna, Monday 22 November.
Erna added that another suspect was in charge of monitoring the situation. Then, after securing the shower sanitary ware, the two suspects headed for the warehouse of PT. MSG by prying the plywood board of the warehouse and entering the warehouse and taking 25 cable rollers and then putting them in a backpack.
After success, the two suspects came out of the warehouse and headed for the silver Toyota Avanza B 1342 SYK and put the stolen goods into the car.
At that time, Juandi as a security officer immediately suspected the action. While being approached, the two suspects immediately pressed the gas.
"The two suspects immediately fled and broke through the parking gate so that the witness chased after him shouting a thief, then Witness Prasetyo as a motorcycle taxi driver recognized him, so the witness helped chase him," he added. The two suspects fled towards Jalan Prof. M. Yamin, Duren Jaya Village, East Bekasi District.
However, his escape was halted because the railroad bars blocked the road. As a result, the two suspects were tried by the masses. Furthermore, members of the East Bekasi Police who were carrying out patrols immediately secured the two suspects and evidence. From the hands of the two suspects, the police also managed to secure a number of pieces of evidence.
The evidence includes 25 label rollers, 10 sanitary shower units, 1 Toyota Avanza silver B 1342 SYK, 5 backpacks, 1 Visitor ID Card, 1 screwdriver, 1 pliers, and 2 orange vests.
