The Police Will Examine Anji First, Then Hadi Pranoto

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya investigators will examine musician Erdian Aji Prihartanto alias Anji on Monday, August 10. He will be examined as a witness in the case of the spread of fake news about the COVID-19 herbal antibody.

"Today we will deliver a summons for the owner of the duniamanji account, or the initials A, who is usually called," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Friday, August 7.

Meanwhile, the agenda for the examination of Hadi Pranoto has not yet been determined. According to him, Hadi's examination was after Anji.

"Later after (Anji's examination), we will send another summons for the HP brothers themselves," said Yusri.

The reason the investigators prioritized the examination of Anji was because of the criminal articles that were suspected of being related to the dissemination and the ITE law. So, the investigator will explore how the case began.

"What is reported here is the spread, from the youtube account duniamanji which contains the interview concerned with the cellphone. That's why we will first call here the account owner instead of duniamanji, then HP," said Yusri.

Previously, the police had raised the case to investigative level. This status increase after his party conducts a case title. From the title of the case, the police found sufficient preliminary evidence to raise the status of this case.

In this case, later the police will apply Article 28 in conjunction with Article 45A of the ITE Law.

Hadi Pranoto and Erdian Aji Prihartanto alias Anji were officially reported to Polda Metro Jaya. They were reported by the General Chairperson of Cyber Indonesia, Muannas Alaidid, because they were thought to be spreading false news about claims for the COVID-19 antibody herbal medicine.
