Bad Weather, The First WSBK Race Has Been Postponed
JAKARTA - The first World Superbike (WSBK) race which was held at the Mandalika Circuit on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at noon had to be postponed. This was done following the bad weather that occurred before the start of the first race.
Quoted from Antara, actually the racers are already on the grid and ready to take a start. But 12 minutes before the race started it was raining so hard.
Seeing the unfavorable weather and for the sake of considering the safety of the participants, the race director decided to postpone this race.
For the continuation of this first race, the committee is still waiting for further decisions. Later they will announce the reschedule after reviewing the conditions on the ground.
This first race became an important moment for the leader of the standings, Toprak Razgatlioglu. He is working hard to win the world title this season.
Razgatlioglu should be able to make the first race a moment to steal points from his rival, Jonathan Rea.
Razgatlioglu should also be able to re-record the fastest time after his record in free races 1 and 2 was broken by Scott Redding in the third free race.
