FBR And PP Clashes In Ciledug Triggered By Land Conquest
JAKARTA - Clashes between community organizations (ormas) Pemuda Pancasila (PP) and the Betawi Rempug Forum (FBR) in the Ciledug area, Tangerang broke out, Friday, November 19 evening.
Police suspect that there were several suspected triggers for clashes between the two mass organizations. One of them is fighting over land for power.
"We're still investigating it. But it's obvious that people are taking the location for securing their expansion. The conflict that triggers them is to seize the land," the Tangerang Metro Police Chief, Kombes Deonijiu De Fatima, confirmed on Saturday, November 20. Based on the examination, it is known that another trigger of the clash was the destruction of the PP post some time ago. Where, many issues circulated that the alleged perpetrators were members of the FBR. However, this news has yet to be proven.
"Something was damaged at the PP post. It wasn't monitored either from which groups, so it triggered them that the conflict had been going on for a long time," said Deonijiu.
Especially when the PP group was in a convoy around Lembang Market on Friday, November 19, when they passed by members of the FBR. Until finally a clash ensued.
"So they passed by the convoy and saw that there was an FBR at that location, so they carried out an attack," he said.
