Losing Fast, Toprak Razgatlioglu's Dominance Was Broken By Redding In FP3
JAKARTA - Toprak Razgatlioglu's slick record as the fastest in the free race (FP) 1 and 2 of the World Superbike (WSBK) 2021 had to run aground. The reason is, the smooth record of the Turkish racer was broken by Scott Redding in FP 3.
Taking place at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok on Saturday, November 20 afternoon, Redding managed to record the fastest time. In this FP 3 session, he completed the track in just 1 minute 33.486 seconds.
From that note, Redding, who represents the Aruba.It Ducati manufacturer, managed to win over Razgatlioglu by a time difference of 0.082 seconds.
Redding's time score was a surprise because he was able to break Razgatlioglu's dominance. Where in the previous FP, Razgatlioglu had the best time record which was also able to outperform his strong rival, Jonathan Rea.
In addition to Redding's surprise, Christophe Ponsson also made a breakthrough in FP 3. Because, he was able to finish in eighth overall, while Gerloff maintained his place in the top three with third position.
