Not Religion, Afterlife Film: A Love Story Offers Romantic Fantasy
JAKARTA - Director Jason Iskandar made his long debut through a film called Akhirat: A Love Story. He brought Adipati Dolken with Della Dartyan in one story.
Afterlife: A Love Story tells the story of a couple: Timur (Adipati Dolken) and Mentari (Della Dartyan) who want to introduce each other to their parents. Unfortunately they have some differences, one of which is belief.
Convinced of their choice, they both wanted to talk to their parents about plans to take it seriously. However, one scene changes their plans and destiny.
Producers Shanty Harmayn and Jason compactly said that Akhirat: A Love Story has a fresh love story in the film industry. They claim the fantasy romance genre into the main story belonging to Timur and Mentari.
“This story is very special for BASE Entertainment and this is also the first film during the pandemic. The first lot. So the feeling is very happy and very relieved with great anticipation," said Shanty Harmayn.
This film offers a new perspective on life. Producer Aoura Lovenson also said, "We feel in this world of so many differences, there is one thing we have called love that is very universal and hopefully a refreshing message."
Besides Adipati and Della, Akhirat: A Love Story also stars Verdi Solaiman, Windy Dwi Apsari, Ravil Prasetya, Vonny Anggraini, Agnes Naomi, Farish Nandi, Ayu Dyah Pasha, Arswendi Nasution and many others.
Afterlife: A Love Story will be released in Indonesian cinemas starting December 2, 2021.
