Up 1.29 Percent, Papua Provincial Government Sets 2022 UMP IDR 3,561,932

JAYAPURA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Papua has set the 2022 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) of IDR 3,561,932.

The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Papua Province, Ridwan Ruikutun in Jayapura, said the amount of the UMP was determined based on the results of the Papua Province Wage Council meeting.

"The UMP for Papua Province 2022 is set at IDR 3,561,932 per month and has increased by 1.29 percent," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, November 19.

According to Ridwan, the 1.29 percent increase amounted to Rp45,232 from the previous year's UMP which was only Rp3,516,700.

"The determination of the 2022 Papuan Provincial UMP was announced by letter number 561/13887/SET," he said.

Previously, the Head of the Papua Province Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, SMEs and Manpower Office, Omah Laduani Ladamay, said that the determination of the 2022 Papua UMP will involve many parties including the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo), the All-Indonesian Workers Union (SPSI), the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). ), Cenderawasih University and others.

"There is a formula for determining the UMP, so in the session it will be discussed together, including other supporting data, such as economic growth and inflation," he said.
