Surabaya Wipe Test 10 Percent Of Employees In Each Workplace
SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Government, East Java, stated that 10 percent of employees at each workplace or business will be swabbed to anticipate the spike in COVID-19 cases.
"The swab test will begin on November 24, 2021 under the coordination of the Surabaya City Health Office. So, this is in the context of active case finding," said Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi, quoted by Antara, Friday, November 19.
Therefore, continued Eri, his party has issued a Circular (SE) regarding the anticipation of a spike in COVID-19 cases through the discovery of active cases. The SE numbered 001.1/13997/436.7.2/2021 was signed directly by the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, today.
Eri Cahyadi conveyed this SE to follow up on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 60 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) level 3, level 2, and level 1 COVID-19 in Java and Bali which stated that the City of Surabaya was at PPKM level 1 .

The Surabaya City Government will conduct an RT-PCR swab test, facilitated by the local health center. The target is 10 percent of the total employees or employees in each workplace or business.
"The swab test will begin on November 24, 2021 under the coordination of the Surabaya City Health Office. So, this is in the context of active case finding," he said.
In addition, Mayor Eri also appealed to residents of the City of Surabaya who were tested positive for COVID-19 and had no symptoms or mild symptoms, they were obliged to isolate themselves in isolation places provided by the Surabaya City Government.
