SOE Synergy, Askrindo Guarantees Asset Insurance And Transportation Of Bio Farma Vaccines

JAKARTA - The government's vaccination program continues to be carried out in order to be able to achieve the vaccination target of 70 percent of the population who received the first dose of vaccine. This target is expected to be achieved by the end of December 2021.

The vaccination achievement was achieved thanks to optimal efforts and mutual cooperation with all parties, especially the TNI/Polri, local governments, BUMN and private parties who helped.

One of the state-owned insurance companies, namely PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia or Askrindo, is currently cooperating or synergizing with PT Bio Farma (Persero) in terms of vaccine delivery. As for the cooperation, Askrindo covers assets or warehouse stock for vaccine storage and insurance for transportation of goods (Marine Cargo) for Bio Farma's vaccines.

Mohammad Wafdy, Askrindo Bandung Branch Manager said that Askrindo's collaboration as a member of the Insurance and Guarantee Holding, Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) with Biofarma had been carried out when the vaccine began to enter PT Bio Farma, namely in 2020 until now.

"Bio Farma's assets guaranteed by Askrindo include the Vaccine Stock Warehouse, and Askrindo also covers the transportation of vaccines to Bio Farma from the arrival of Soekarno-Hatta," said Wafdy in a written statement received by VOI, Friday, November 19.

Wafdy also added that the coverage value of asset insurance with the Property All Risk (PAR) product and the Indonesian Earthquake Insurance Standard Policy (PSAGBI) reached Rp1.7 trillion. In addition, the insured value for Marine Cargo Insurance is around Rp. 1.3 trillion.

"We hope that all parties do not see this from a profitable business side, because this also includes carrying out a humanitarian mission. And guaranteeing the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccine is a humanitarian mission that requires the synergy of all parties," he said.

Wafdy continued, Askrindo Bandung Branch has collaborated with PT Bio Farma since 2016 with several products including Marine Cargo, Property (PAR + PSAGBI) and Moveable All Risk.

"In the future, we plan to develop insurance synergy with PT Bio Farma in PAR + PSAGBI products with different cluster locations. Because at this time, we cover property insurance in cluster B of the Bio Farma building complex in Pasteur, Bandung," concluded Wafdy.
