4 Days Of Zebra Operation, The Most Violations In The Polda Metro Area Are Cempreng And Rotator Exhausts

JAKARTA - Traffic Directorate officers at the Metro Jaya Police took action against 5,470 road users who violated traffic rules during the four days of Operation Zebra Jaya 2021.

Head of the Sub-Directorate for Law Enforcement at the Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Argo Wiyono, said that of the 5,470 violations, they received sanctions for evidence of violations (tickets), warnings, and appeals.

"During the four days of Operation Zebra Jaya, 4,460 motorists were given warnings, while 1,010 were ticketed," Argo said when confirmed in Jakarta, Friday, November 19, quoted from Antara.

The most violations during the four days of Operation Zebra Jaya, namely the use of exhaust that did not comply with the rules were 255 violators.

"The exhaust was noisy 255 violators and there were 22 violations of the use of the rotator that was not according to its designation," said Argo.

The Directorate of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya together with the Department of Transportation and the Satpol PP of DKI Jakarta Province held a joint operation codenamed Zebra Jaya 2021 with the aim of enforcing traffic laws and health protocols on 15-28 November 2021.

The Metro Police ensured that there would be no raids in Operation Zebra Jaya 2021. In this operation, a joint team carried out mobile patrols at a number of points prone to traffic violations.

The Zebra Jaya 2021 operation targets to suppress traffic violations, including the use of sirens and rotators that do not comply with regulations, incorrect number plates, noisy exhausts, vehicles against the flow, and through the TransJakarta route.

In addition to taking action against traffic violators, the Zebra Jaya Operation 2021 will also target violations of health protocols in the form of crowds that have the potential to become clusters for the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
