The Thief Of Rp. 30 Million In Palangka Raya Was Arrested

PALANGKA RAYA - A joint team of police arrested the perpetrators of theft of IDR 30 million in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan (Kalteng).

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Palangka Raya Police, Kompol Ritman Todoan Agung Gultom, said the perpetrator took the victim's bag containing IDR 30 million in cash at a barracks on Jalan Patin, Palangka Raya. At the time of the incident, the victim was taking a shower.

Todoan said the suspect with the initials CS (23) worked as a pickup driver. The arrests were made on Wednesday, November 17 in Menteng Village.

"The perpetrator was successfully apprehended after previously conducting investigations and reconnaissance by members," said Todoan in a written statement from the Palangka Raya Police, Friday, November 19.

From the suspect's hands, the police secured evidence of Rp. 2.9 million in cash. The perpetrators have been taken to the Palangka Raya Police Station for legal proceedings.

"As a result of his actions, the perpetrator can be charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with a maximum penalty of five years in prison," said Todoan.
