Social Minister Risma's Quick Action, Along The River Gives Aid And Compensation To Residents Affected By The Deli Serdang Landslide

SUMUT - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini walked along the Laupapai river to deliver humanitarian aid to victims of natural disasters in Hamlet 3, Rumah Kinangkung Village, Sibolangit, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra (North Sumatra), this morning.

"Ladies and gentlemen, you don't have to think about food needs and other things, I am assisted by the sub-district and village heads, we prepare food reserves and there is assistance," said Tri Rismaharini while visiting the refugees in Hamlet I Rumah Kinangkung, Antara, Friday, November 19.

Risma and her entourage from relevant agencies arrived and inspected the location of the landslide to ensure that post-disaster management was carried out properly. When inspecting the location, Risma brought logistical assistance as well as compensation for the heirs and injured victims affected by the landslide.

The assistance provided was in the form of 50 sheets of blankets, 32 packages of children's clothing, 50 packages of family equipment, 50 red rolled tents, 50 red mattresses, 168 packages of children's food, 100 red mattresses, one unit of family multipurpose tent, and 60 packages of basic necessities.

In addition, Risma also handed over compensation for one victim who died as a result of a landslide on behalf of Rasmiken Ginting in the amount of Rp. 15 million. While the injured victims each Rp 5 million.

In addition to handing over aid, Risma, who was accompanied by Member of Commission VIII DPR RI M Husni and Member of DPD RI Dedy Iskandar Batubara and elements of the local government took time to have a dialogue with victims in the refugee camps.

"Ladies and gentlemen, what else do you want? We will prepare it," said Risma.

One of the refugees asked the government to strengthen the cliff slopes to anticipate further landslides. "We are still traumatized, ma'am. How can we prevent this landslide from happening again," said one of the landslide victims.

Risma said that she was preparing a disaster management scheme with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing. "If I were the Minister of PUPR, I would definitely say yes, ma'am. Please be patient, we are working on it," he said.
