Jakarta Provincial Government Rp486 Million Grant Fund To His Father's Foundation, Deputy Governor Of DKI: For Santri's Meal
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria explained the factor in the plan to provide grant funds from the DKI Provincial Government to the Pondok Karya Pembangunan Foundation (PKP) amounting to Rp486 million in 2022.
The foundation is chaired by KH Amidhan Shaberah, Riza's father. Riza explained that the grant funds budgeted in the 2022 APBD Draft to the PKP Foundation will be used to finance meals for students and the poor at the pesantren there.
"The Rp486 million grant is not for foundations. This fund is for feeding students and students," said Riza at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Thursday, November 18.
This Gerindra politician explained that the PKP Foundation was originally founded by Ali Sadikin, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta, in 1976. At that time, Ali wanted to establish a madrasa as a means of education and knowledge of Islam.
The DKI Provincial Government's assistance for the PKP Foundation has also been prepared from the time of Ali Sadikin, Fauzi Bowo, to Basuki Tjahaja Purnama to carry out construction to the arrangement of madrasah or Islamic boarding schools there.
Currently, the DKI Provincial Government only provides assistance in the form of grant funds for daily operations for students who are studying at the pesantren.
"This is in accordance with the foundation's wish to prepare pesantren for santri, orphans, and poor people. The funds are very small. Only for meals. One meal is Rp. 10 thousand times three, so Rp. 30 thousand, multiplied by 30 days a month, multiplied by 6 months, multiplied by 90 people, it becomes Rp486 million," Riza explained. Previously, the DKI Jakarta Social Service submitted a budget for social grant funds to a number of agencies and institutions in the 2022 RAPBD. One of them will be given to the Pondok Karya Pembangunan Foundation (PKP).
In the list of grant recipients received by VOI, the PKP Foundation will receive a grant of IDR 486 million. In the grant recipient documents, the two foundations are entered in the name of the account "expenditure of money grants to non-profit, voluntary, and social agencies and institutions that already have a registered certificate".
