COVID-19 Cases In Aceh Province Have Increased Dramatically
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Task Force said that Aceh Province experienced a drastic increase in positive cases from July to August. From the report, it was noted that this province experienced an increase in the transmission of COVID-19 to reach 259 cases.
"We see that there have been several changes in conditions in Aceh Province from 21 cases to 259 cases on July 26, 2020 to August 2," said Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force Wiku Adisasmito in a press conference broadcast on the YouTube account of the Presidential Secretariat, Thursday, 6 August.
Then, said Wiku, in Aceh Province there is one district and city that was not affected by COVID-19, but now it is. Then, there are also eight districts and cities in Aceh Province that have changed from low risk to medium risk.
"And there are three districts / cities that are not affected to moderate risk and there is one district / city from no cases to moderate risk," he said.
Seeing this condition, Wiku then reminded the regional government of Aceh Province to work together with the COVID-19 Task Force in the regions so that transmission in the area could be overcome immediately.
Furthermore, he then explained that there had been zoning changes for the spread of COVID-19 nationally.
Based on the latest data on Sunday, August 2, there were 33 districts / cities at high risk or in the red zone, 194 districts / cities at moderate risk or in the orange zone, 163 districts / cities with low risk or in the yellow zone.
Then, from this data it is known that there are 51 districts / cities that have not experienced the addition of new cases and 35 districts / cities are not affected by COVID-19.
"However, we have not received complete data from the East Java Province from the Ministry of Health. So we only announce at this time the zoning for 33 provinces," he concluded.
