Meanwhile, Paiton Police Chief Iptu Maskur Ansori said the attempted theft was carried out on Sunday, November 14, the night. The victim only found out the motorcycle key was broken the next morning.

"Then the perpetrators came again with a prototype motorbike and pretended to lie down in front of the terrace of boarding house number 6," said Iptu Maskur.

Luckily, the victim's friend recognized the characteristics of the perpetrator when he was about to steal the motorbike. The victim immediately reported to the Paiton Police Headquarters.

"We immediately investigated, after pocketing the name of the perpetrator. We immediately arrested the perpetrator at 06.00 WIB," continued Iptu Maskur.

The police also secured the evidence used by the perpetrators, namely a modified screwdriver and pliers to unlock the motorbike. The perpetrator was charged with Article 363 in conjunction with Article 53 of the Criminal Code.
