40 Districts In Jayawijaya Regency Papua Need Additional Religious Teachers

JAYAWIJAYA - Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Province, needs additional religious teachers to fill the gap in public and private schools.

The Daily Executive Head of the Jayawijaya Regency Ministry of Religion, Raymond Renyan, said that in all of Jayawijaya there were only 65 religious teachers.

The details are 40 Christian religious teachers, 12 to 13 Catholic religious teachers, and one Islamic religion teacher. With this figure, most schools in the 40 districts of Jayawijaya Regency still lack religious teachers.

"We hope that in the CASN quota there will be religious teachers recruited so that they can add religious teachers in Jayawijaya Regency," he said in Wamena, as reported by Antara, Thursday, November 18.

He said that currently the appointment of religious teachers was carried out by the regional government.

"When it comes to placement, we can coordinate with us, because we know which schools lack religious teachers," he said.

The Jayawijaya Regency Ministry of Religion has discussed the problem of the shortage of religious teachers several times with the Regional Personnel Agency. But until now the shortage of religious teachers has not been met.
