COVID-19 Case Appears At School, Depok City Government Stops Face-to-Face Learning At Pancoranmas

DEPOK - The Depok City Government, West Java, has temporarily suspended limited face-to-face learning activities (PTMT) in Pancoranmas District to anticipate the increase in COVID-19 cases.

Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris in his written statement said that the temporary suspension will last for ten days, 19-29 November 2021.

The policy is stated in the Mayor's Circular (SE) Number: 8.02/648/SATGAS/2021 concerning Limited Suspension of PTMT Operations.

The SE, which was issued on November 18, 2021, has taken into account the Mayor's Regulation (Perwal) Depok Number 66 of 2021 concerning PTMT Guidelines during the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, as well as paying attention to the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in PTMT clusters in several areas. .

So it is necessary to immediately mitigate the COVID-19 response in the PTMT cluster. In order to control the increase in COVID-19 cases in the PTMT cluster, it is necessary to immediately carry out a limited temporary suspension of the implementation of PTMT.

Then during the temporary suspension of activities, each education unit immediately re-checked the implementation of all PTMT health protocols (prokes).

"Noting the increase in COVID-19 cases in PTMT clusters in several areas. The Depok City Government has taken a policy, one of which is the temporary suspension of PTMT in Pancoranmas District," he said, quoted by Antara.

This policy applies to students starting from PAUD, TK/RA, SD/MI levels, and for students of SMP/MTS, SMA/MA. During the temporary suspension of PTMT, students at Pancoranmas resumed the learning process from home (BDR) or online.

"During the temporary closure of PTMT, all educational units at Pancoranmas conducted an online learning process. At the same time, each educational unit in the area evaluated the PTMT health protocol," he continued.

Because of that, Idris asked all education units in Depok City apart from Pancoranmas Sub-district to divert their students to BDR and for those who have not been vaccinated, they must be vaccinated immediately.

This is stated in the Circular Letter of the Mayor of Depok Number 648 regarding the temporary suspension of the implementation of PTMT, dated November 18, 2021.

Previously there were several students and teachers at SMPN 2 Depok who were exposed to COVID-19 so PTMT activities were temporarily suspended. The Depok City Government has 11 sub-districts and 63 Kelurahan. The 11 sub-districts are Pancoranmas, Sukmajaya, Cilodong, Bojongsari, Sawangan, Cinere, Limo, Beji, Cimanggis, Tapos, and Cipayung.
