File Tubagus Joddy Suspect Of Death Accident Vanessa Angel Completed, Police Wait For Pajero's 'Black Box' Data

SURABAYA - Jombang Police Investigators have completed the file of Tubagus Joddy, a suspect in the fatal accident that killed Vanessa Angel and her husband, Febri Andriansyah alias Bibi. But the police are still waiting for additional data, which comes from the "black box" of the Japanese Pajero sports car.

"We have examined 10 people, and now the file is complete, it is complete. Now we are just waiting for the black box of the Pajero car that has been sent to Japan," said Jombang Police Chief AKBP, Moh Nurhidayat, confirmed, Thursday, November 18.

In addition, Hidayat said that investigators had coordinated related to formal and material steps with the Prosecutor's Office to complete the case file. "The formal material steps have been coordinated with the prosecutor's office, all that's left is to complete the information from several experts," he said.

Furthermore, investigators are still waiting for information on data originating from the "black box" that has been sent to Japan. The tool, which is similar to the plane's black box, is still being researched to determine for sure the car data recorded at the time of the accident.

"The information is, they need a week to research it. Later the data from the black box will be translated into expert statements," he said.

Hidayat said that his party was also burdened with the time limit for the detention of the suspect. If the time (black box) is deemed insufficient, then his party will still send the case file, with the suspect Tubagus Muhammad Joddy, to the prosecutor's office.

"They (Pajero car ATPM) promised one week. But we are burdened with a limited time in prison. If it is too long, we will still send the file. That (black box statement) is only to complete it," he said.

Previously, Tubagus Mohammad Joddy, driver for artist Vanessa Angel, had been detained at the Jombang Police Headquarters, East Java. He was collected with other general criminal prisoners, such as prisoners for drug cases, and others.

In that case, Tubagus M Joddy was charged with multiple articles. He was charged with Article 310 paragraph 4 of Law Number 22 concerning Highway Transport Traffic with a threat of six years in prison and a fine of Rp. IDR 24 million.

It is known that Artist Vanessa Angel and her husband, Febri Andriansyah alias Bibi, died in a single accident on the Jombang Toll Road KM 672+300 entering Pucangsimo Village, Bandar Kedungmulyo District, Thursday, November 14, 2021.
