Police Investigate House Fire That Injured One Family
JAKARTA - Police are investigating a house fire which resulted in an injured family. There are allegations that the house in Ciputat, South Tangerang, was deliberately burned down.
"It is true that a clue was found, shorts that smelled of kerosene," said the Head of the Pamulang Police, Kompol Endy Mahandika to VOI, Thursday, August 6.
The house fire on Jalan Punawarman, Ciputat occurred on Tuesday, August 4 in the morning. One family that becomes the victim is a father, mother and a child.
All three were seriously injured. However, the worst condition experienced by the child was due to burns about 80 percent.
Despite finding clues that the fire was suspected, the police are still waiting for the completion of the investigation from the Forensic Laboratory (Labfor). Later the results of the investigation will determine the cause of the fire.
"Later Labfor will determine whether (the fire) was due to an electrical short circuit or something else," said Endy.
The police have examined a number of witnesses regarding the start of the fire.
