The Central Java Police Labfor Team Was Dispatched To Investigate The Burning Of 13 Ships In Tegal
JAKARTA - Central Java Police dispatched a forensic laboratory team (labfor) to investigate the cause of the fire of 13 ships in the port area of Tegal City. This was conveyed by the Head of Humas for the Central Java Police, Kombes Pol. M Iqbal Alqudusy.
"This is done within the framework of a scientific investigation to uncover the cause of the fire," said Iqbal through a message received by VOI, Thursday, November 18, afternoon.
Iqbal also appealed to the people of Tegal and its surroundings not to visit the location of the ship fire. This is because the location has been installed with a police line and there are still puffs of smoke and remnants of the fire, although it is relatively small.
"It is feared that the remaining fire could pose a risk of explosion. So the location is not really safe and at this time the police are still securing the location for the purposes of investigating the crime scene," added Kombes Iqbal.
Based on the facts on the ground, Iqbal confirmed that there were thirteen ships burned. While the witnesses examined in the case so far, there are four people. However, it is not clear what material damage was caused by the fire.
"The price of each ship is around 2-4 billion. However, the official number of estimated losses is not yet available," closed Iqbal.
