JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo has been named the best governor in Indonesia in the Best Trustee Category for the National Food Health Program by the Ministry of Health.
The award was presented at the Healthy Regency/City Swasti Saba event and the Implementation of Health Protocols for Food Management Places held by the Ministry of Health online, Wednesday, November 17.
Ganjar, who received the award while traveling on a working visit to Cilacap Regency, said the award was the hard work of all parties who supported the implementation of health protocols in Central Java's food management.
"Actually it's not me who's great, the ones who are great are the actors in these restaurants, restaurants, and places to eat, including those who produce food in Central Java," he said, quoted by Antara.
According to Ganjar, without the support of all of them, food management according to health protocols in Central Java will not work.
Therefore, he appreciates and thanks all parties who enthusiastically want to support the implementation of health protocols in their respective places during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"They are actually the great ones because in order for us to coordinate, they welcome this well. I express my gratitude to all who participated. They are great and we can move together to be better in the context of this health protocol," said Ganjar Pranowo.
Meanwhile, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin at the award presentation, appreciated all parties, including governors, regents/mayors, and food businesses, who implemented health protocols in their respective places.
According to him, this step is an effort to help accelerate economic recovery in Indonesia.
"We give appreciation to regional heads and all food business managers who have implemented health protocols in their respective places. In this way, efforts to implement new habits and healthy living behaviors are sustainable," he said.
Besides Ganjar, one of the regional heads in Central Java, namely the Mayor of Surakarta Gibran Rakabuming Raka, also received an award as the second best regional head of the Regency/City Food Health Program in Indonesia.
