Deletion Of Red Notice Djoko Tjandra Naik Is Investigating
JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri has increased the status of deleting red notice convicted Bank Bali cessie Djoko Tjandra from investigation to investigation. This was done after a case title was carried out.
"After we conducted the case title, that in the investigation process conducted by the Corruption Eradication Directorate, the results were yesterday on Wednesday on August 5 that the case was raised to the investigation stage," said Head of Public Relations of the Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono to reporters, Thursday, 6 August.
Argo said that in investigating this case, his party had examined 15 witnesses. Investigation of this case begins with tracing the alleged flow of money by requesting the assistance of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).
"So after we carried out an investigation with the object of the case, regarding the flow of money receiving and giving gifts in accordance with the red notice on behalf of Djoko Sugiarto Tjandra," said Argo.
Even though the case has been raised to an investigation, the police have yet to determine who will be the suspect. It's just that, he said, the suspect in this case will be charged under Article 5 paragraph 1 and Article 2, Article 11, Article 12 letters a and b, Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption (Tipikor), as amended with Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
"So the suspected legal construction is the alleged receipt of prizes by state officials related to the removal of red notice on behalf of Djoko Sugiarto Tjandra which occurred from May 2020 to June 2020," said Argo.
For your information, the removal of Djoko Tjandra's name from the red notice has sacrificed two Police Generals, namely, Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte and Brigadier General Nugroho Slamet, who were removed from their posts at Hubinter Polri.
Therefore, Brigadier General Nugroho is suspected of violating the code of ethics by issuing a letter submitting the validity period of Djoko Tjandra's red notice. Meanwhile, Inspector General Napoleon violated the code of ethics because he neglected to supervise his members.
However, the National Police claimed that the removal of the two generals was not related to the Djoko Tjandra case.
