Vanarama Estimates The Shape Of The Apple Car Based On Several Patents Filed By Apple So Far
JAKARTA - There will likely be a future where Apple releases its own car. To help his fans wait for their product, one company has created an amazing concept based on a patent from Apple.
The idea of an 'Apple Car' is one that has been floated some time ago. Countless patents and industry reports have reinforced the idea that Apple Car will happen at some point. It's just not clear when it actually came.
While Apple fans are constantly waiting for the Apple Car to become a reality, one company has prepared a very detailed concept of what it will look like. It was made by the British car rental company Vanarama and based on the "original patent filed by Apple Inc."
When visiting the Vanarama website, users can see a 360-degree model of the exterior and interior of the Apple Car. There are also highlighted points that explain which patents a particular design decision is based on.
The overall design of the exterior of the Apple Car looks like Apple's version of the Tesla Cybertruck. The car was large, boxy, and had sharp lines all over its body. One of the patent inspirations is the Apple Car's 'pillarless structure' which offers "easy access without obstruction."
Also featured from the real patent are the 'adaptive doors' - allowing "greater flexibility for passenger movement and loading, with a scope window that increases headroom on board." Vanarama added its own design touches, such as a Mac Pro-inspired mesh grille, a frosted white finish, and a glowing Apple logo on the wheels.
Then there's the interior—which is somehow even more over-the-top. Perhaps the most interesting thing is the large touchscreen dashboard. It covers the entire front of the car and is also based on a real patent. This goes for the 'seamless look' and full user customization.
According to one of the patents, Apple Car will allow the driver to "set the controls themselves, whether it's heating control, sound system, or driver info." There's also an odd-looking steering wheel that, of course, has Siri controls built in.
This is another element based on the actual patent. It will support "typical question-based commands" and even make automated suggestions based on things like "road and cab conditions."
Even though Vanarama is basing this on an actual patent from Apple, that doesn't mean the actual Apple Car will look like this. Still, it's an interesting glimpse into what could happen down the road.
