Less Than A Year, The Murjani Sampit Hospital Building Leaks, Now It's In The Spotlight
SAMPIT - The leaking roof of the main building of the Dr Murjani Sampit Hospital has become a spotlight among members of the DPRD for East Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. This is because it is feared to disrupt services, even though the building is relatively new.
"God willing, this is one of our material in the discussion of the 2022 RAPBD to question why it was just built in such a condition (it leaked, ed.). We hope that by knowing, at least things like this can not happen again in the future," said the member. Commission III of the East Kotawaringin DPRD, Dadang Siswanto in Sampit, reported by Antara, Tuesday, November 16.
The new five-story building which is now the main building of the dr Murjani Hospital was inaugurated on January 7, 2021, to coincide with the celebration of the 68th Anniversary of East Kotawaringin Regency.
The inauguration was carried out by Regent Supian Hadi and Deputy Regent Muhammad Taufiq Mukri. The inauguration was held about 1.5 months before the pair of regional heads retired after serving for two terms.
But not even a year after it was officially used, a problem arose, namely a leak on the roof. The roof of the building is cracked so that when it rains water seeps into a number of rooms on the fifth floor.
His party will ask for an explanation from the management of Dr Murjani Hospital regarding the roof leak.
His party will question it during the discussion of the 2022 RAPBD with their working partners.
"The draft has been received from Murjani Hospital, we just need to study it more deeply and basically we want to know whether there is an improvement or not and why it happened like it is now," said Dadang.
The leaking roof of the new dr Murjani Hospital has become a concern for the local government. The Deputy Regent of East Kotawaringin, Irawati, has even directly inspected the leaky roof of the new building.
Irawati reported the review through her social media account. He was accompanied by the management of RSUD Dr. Murjani to see the current conditions, especially the points of water seepage from the roof of the fifth floor.
Irawati informed that many buildings were damaged and the roof of the fifth floor building was cracked, causing leaks to reach the treatment room.
In addition, there were several parts of the pipe that were punctured with iron, causing part of the ceiling to collapse.
This condition is a serious concern for local governments to improve services. Especially during the rainy season this condition is considered very disturbing.
"Hopefully in the future we will make improvements with a strict monitoring system so that development work goes well and according to what is expected, especially hospitals where services are very urgent or urgent," wrote Irawati Buhari's account.
