Preventing Revenge For The Death Of FBR Members, Police Hold Night Patrol

JAKARTA - Anticipating further clashes with community organizations (ormas), the Kembangan Police formed a night patrol with elements of the three pillars and community leaders and a number of other mass organizations.

"We are together with other security forces, a combination of the TNI, Polri, Satpol PP and leaders sitting together in deliberations and doing security," said Kembangan Police Chief Kompol Khoiri to VOI, Tuesday, November 16, afternoon.

In addition, the Kembangan Police claimed that they had given an appeal to a number of mass organizations in their area not to be provoked.

"We also urge the Head of Pospol, Binmas and Babinsa to be more involved in the posts of mass organizations in Kembangan," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the case of persecution that caused DR (27) a member of the Betawi Rempug Forum (FBR) to die, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kembangan Police continues to seek clues and examine witnesses.

"There are 8 witnesses in all, including witnesses from the victim's side. We are still looking for other clues, still investigating," he said.

The police chief has not yet been able to conclude which group of perpetrators carried out the attack on the FBR substation a few days ago.

"We don't know if the perpetrator is a mass organization or from where, we don't know yet. If the victim is a member of a mass organization, we are working on CCTV, we will continue to maximize it to see which side the alleged perpetrator can be detected," he said.
