Koster hopes that technical assistance and investment to be able to build infrastructure in Bali can be carried out, especially rail transportation infrastructure. He also emphasized that Training and Education will continue to be carried out, because Bali will need more reliable personnel.
"I am optimistic that the cooperation between the Province of Bali and Korea can still be developed, given the closeness of the cultures of the two communities and the results of this meeting can be followed up concretely starting in 2022," he said.
Meanwhile, South Korea's Deputy Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation, Yoon Sung-won welcomed the idea. He said South Korea needed to induce and introduce industrial progress and transportation systems in Korea to be used in Bali.
"Sporadic cooperation has begun by exploring development opportunities with the implementation of a feasibility study for the construction of the Light Rail (LRT) as access to I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali," he said.
According to him, this has also been strengthened by sending two staff of the Bali Provincial Transportation Service to continue their education in Korea in the railway sector.
"I hope that this cooperation can be strengthened and made concrete by carrying out more detailed studies and calculations, given the land and cultural conditions in Bali which are much more challenging than in Korea," he said.
In addition, Yoon hopes that sending staff to study in Korea can be continued and supplemented with short courses through a more structured collaboration.
But not only in the field of infrastructure, Deputy Minister Yoon offers training programs for civil servants and employees of the Bali Provincial Government, in various sectors to go to Korea in Indonesia.
