Making Uneasy, Street Vendors In Medan Forced And Threatening Drivers To Buy Their Merchandise, Satpol PP Promise To Bring Order To Order

MEDAN - Threats made by hawkers against car drivers were shared on social media. The threat occurred at the intersection of Jalan Iskandar Muda, Medan City.

In the video seen on Tuesday, November 16, a man with an angry face comes to a car. From the narration in the video, the driver of the car was written by a woman.

"Aqua selling mode, then begging, not being forced, cursing and threatening. Iskandar Muda's red light crime scene," wrote the narration in the video.

"This is troubling the driver," reads the narrative.

In the video, the man is seen angry because he was recorded by the driver.

Separately, the Acting Head of the Medan City Satpol PP, Rakhmat Harahap, said that his party would step down to curb the presence of hawkers at the intersection.

"We will arrange it immediately," said Rakhmat confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, November 16.

To anticipate similar incidents at the location, Rakhmat emphasized that his party would coordinate with the Medan Petisah Sub-district.

"To anticipate the future, we will coordinate with the Petisah Sub-district Head," he said.
