ProDem Comes Again To Polda Metro Jaya Reports Luhut And Erick Thohir About The PCR Business, Now Report Received
JAKARTA - Pro-Democracy (ProDem) activists are trying to report back Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Erick Thohir to Polda Metro Jaya. However, this time the report regarding alleged collusion and nepotism was finally accepted.
"Thank God, the reports against Mr. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Mr. Erick Thohir have finally been accepted by Polda Metro Jaya," said Head of the ProDem Activist Network Assembly Iwan Sumule to reporters, Tuesday, November 16.
This report is related to the issue that Luhut and Erick Thohir are suspected of being involved in the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) business carried out at PT Genomik Solidaritas Indonesia (GSI). There are allegations that both of them benefit from things that should not be used as businesses during the pandemic.
"Pak Luhut is in a company that gets the PCR project and is acknowledged by Pak Luhut himself. From there he (Luhut) has shares and also benefits," said Iwan.
The report against Luhut Binsar and Erick Thohir was registered with the number LP/B/5734/X1/2021/SPKT Polda Metro Jaya. In the report, both were reported under Article 5 number 4 in conjunction with Article 21 and Article 22 of Law Number 28 of 1999 concerning the administration of a clean state free from Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism.
For information, the report made by ProDem against Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Erick Thohir regarding allegations of official collusion and nepotism was rejected by the police. The reason is that they were asked to first write to the leadership of the Polda Metro Jaya.
