Moeldoko Invites Creators To Create Digital Games For Soldiers

JAKARTA - Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko invites game creators or digital games to create digital games that can be used by soldiers to practice before actually taking to the battlefield.

The invitation was conveyed by Moeldoko when he visited the digital game development company Agate in Bandung, Tuesday, November 16.

"I invite creators to create digital games that soldiers can practice before actually taking to the battlefield." said Moeldoko.

The former TNI Commander said that based on experience before carrying out war operations, intelligence operations must first be carried out.

"It's the same in the world of gamers, you know META or Most Effective Tactic Available," said Moeldoko.

Moeldoko's arrival to Agate, the Indonesian digital game production house, was to see the development of the game industry in the country.

On that occasion Moeldoko took the time to play “Road to Anfield”, a cycling game with a virtual reality display on the screen.

During the visit, Moeldoko admitted that he was impressed with the mastery of digital gaming technology and infrastructure in Indonesia, which was considered capable of competing with the world-class gaming industry.

According to information, the digital game industry for Indonesian products currently generates revenue of no less than IDR 16 trillion. Including sales abroad, as well as industrial derivatives.

Moeldoko's working visit this time is a series of preparations for the 2021 Esports President Cup which will be held in mid-December 2021 in Bali.

According to the Chairperson of the 2021 Esports Presidential Cup Organizer, Rangga Danu Prasetyo, this year there will be two domestically made games, namely Anantarupa Studios' Lokapala and Semisoft & BANG Indonesia's Battle of Satria Dewa.

“The Esports President's Cup fully supports our game industry so that it can be more popular and compete with international games. This has become our shared goal in the national esports ecosystem,” said Rangga.
