JAKARTA - The Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested a car mirror thief specialist with the initials CH alias DT (20). Despite his young age, DT's crimes are already professional. The perpetrators have committed theft 17 times in a number of locations.
A total of 10 times the theft of the suspect DT was carried out outside the Tambora area and 7 others in the Tambora area. Tambora Police Chief Kompol Faruk Rozi said the actions of the two perpetrators had disturbed the public. Both were arrested after the police received a report on the theft of a car mirror in the Kampung Duri Dalam area, Tambora, West Jakarta.
"Victim Gow Tio Bu went to the Tambora Sector Police to report about Ayla's car mirror being stolen by an unknown person," he told reporters, Tuesday, November 16.
From the report, members of the Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit immediately collected evidence and witness statements
"We got CCTV footage, from the footage it appears that there are 3 perpetrators of theft of car mirrors," he said.
From the CCTV footage, the police conducted an investigation and managed to secure 2 perpetrators with the initials CH alias DT and MR alias Dean in their respective homes.
"The perpetrators sell in the Sawah Besar area at a price of Rp. 600 thousand. The proceeds from the sale are divided by three by the perpetrators," he said.
While the results of the urine test, both perpetrators were found positive for drugs.
"Positive to contain methamphetamine and marijuana. Both are charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code," he said.
