Manchester City Signed Nathan Ake From Bournemouth For A Dowry Of £ 40 Million
JAKARTA - Manchester City officially signed Nathan Ake from Bournemouth. The Dutch national player has a five-year contract with a dowry of £ 40 million.
Ake said joining Pep Guardiola's team was a dream. The style of football played by the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach amazed him.
"Pep is a manager who is admired all over the world, what he does in this game has represented him," said Ake as quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 6.
"The success he has is unbelievable and the style of football he plays really captivates me," he added.
On that occasion, City's director of football Txiki Begiristain also praised his new player.
"Nathan is a quality defender. He was a leader while still playing for Bournemouth and I am delighted to have brought him here," said Begiristain.
"He is fast and strong, and we feel he has the technical and intellectual attributes needed to fit Pep's plan," he added.

Sources say there are a number of add-ons totaling one million pounds in the deal to sign Ake.
The center-back became City's second signing in the summer after they signed Valencia winger Ferran Torres for a fee of 21 million pounds on Tuesday.
Ake was signed by Bournemouth from Chelsea in 2017 for a fee of £ 20 million which broke the club's transfer record. He made 121 appearances for The Cherries during his three seasons there.
