While Hunting Birds, Residents In Tabanan Shocked Bodies Stuck In Bamboo Trees
TABANAN - The discovery of a corpse in the Yeh Panan river, Banjar Anyar Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, Bali, shocked residents.
Kediri Police Chief Kompol Fachmi Hamdani said that the victim's body was identified as I Nyoman Mastra (58).
"The alleged death of the victim has yet to be confirmed while waiting for the results of the post-mortem," said Kompol Fachmi when confirmed, Tuesday, November 16.
At first, witness Masruroh explained that on Saturday night, November 13, an unknown man came to buy coffee.
After that, the witness did not see the man again. From the testimony of witnesses, the man looked stressed.
"After the witness did not see the man, the witness heard the sound of objects splashing in the river and the witness and the local residents checked towards the river but saw nothing," added Kompol Fachmi.
Later on Tuesday, November 16, a witness named I Made Parwana, who was hunting birds, saw a corpse in a prone position floating on the river bank caught around a bamboo tree.
The witness immediately reported to the Bendesa traditional Sanggulan and Bhabinkamtibmas Sanggulan Village. Finally, the Tabanan Police Personal and the Kediri Police came to the scene to carry out further handling.
"There are some bruises, especially on the back (of the victim) and it is possible that it was caused by a collision with a rock in the river," said Kompol Fachmi.
