Bag Aggregates 7-1, MU Advanced To The Europa League Quarter-finals
JAKARTA - Manchester United only faced a minor obstacle when entertaining LASK Linz at Old Trafford in the second leg of the Europa League last 16, Wednesday, August 5 evening. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's troops won 2-1 and made sure to qualify for the quarter-finals.
In this match, the Red Devils saved most of their main players and were left behind by Philipp Wiesinger's goal. However, they managed to get up and turn things around through goals from Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial.
These results make MU qualify for the quarter-finals with a fantastic 7-1 aggregate. They will face FC Copenghagen in the next round.
Launching Antara, Thursday, from MU's starting eleven, only captain Harry Maguire can be considered as the main line. This could actually be used by the visitors, unfortunately LASK still failed to score a goal until the first half ended.
Only after the second half lasted 10 minutes, Wiesinger gave LASK the lead with a beautiful shot from outside the penalty area that goalkeeper Sergio Romero was unable to anticipate.
LASK almost added to the lead, but Wiesinger's next speculative shot was off target and United managed to equalize on a quick counter-attack which Lingard ended up tricking goalkeeper Alexander Schlager.

MU's blunt front line made Solskjaer send Martial in in the 84th minute to replace Daniel James and only four minutes of grazing the French attacker managed to bring the Red Devils to take the lead.
Starting from a pass from Juan Mata, Martial fired a powerful shot that Schlager couldn't anticipate and the ball sank into the net.
That goal at the same time made Martial become MU's top scorer in all competitions this season with a score of 23 goals, an amount equivalent to his collection of goals in the previous two seasons.
Score 2-1 lasted until the referee sounded the final whistle. MU is scheduled to face Copenhagen less than a week later.
