North Sumatra Ranks 1st In Drug Circulation To Loosen Farm Products, Golkar Asks Kapoldasu To Take Action
MEDAN - North Sumatra's rank 1 predicate for drug trafficking and use has been highlighted by the Golkar faction of the North Sumatra DPRD. For that title, the Golkar faction asked the North Sumatra Police Chief to be held accountable.
This highlight was conveyed by the Golkar Faction during a plenary meeting to convey the faction's general view on the 2022 R-APBD. For that predicate, the Golkar Faction asked the North Sumatra Police Chief to be responsible.
"Currently, as of June 1, 2021, North Sumatra Province has received the first rank for drug trafficking and users," said spokesman for the Golkar faction, Zainuddin Purba, Tuesday, November 16.
Regarding drug trafficking, Zainuddin said he had repeatedly written to the governor, the Regional Police Chief, to the Commander of the I/BB Regional Military Command.
"I have written three letters to the governor, to the leadership of the North Sumatra DPRD, to the North Sumatran Regional Police Chief, to the Pangdam I/BB," he said.
In the letter, Zainuddin also said that his party had also reported three illegal discotheques. However, he did not explain the identity of the discotheque.
"About the three illegal discotheques and barracks dealing with drugs of the type of ecstasy and methamphetamine, they are so free and open. The dealers sell narcotics and prepare places to use them, but so far there has been no action," said Zainuddin.
Zainuddin said, the high number of drug trafficking has an impact on the high crime rate. He gave an example, many crops were looted.
"The smallest impact of the proliferation of these places is the increase in crime. The results of our farmers, such as palawija, oil palm farmers have been looted. Theft by looting has become something we usually see," said Zainuddin.
Not only from the aspect of crime, the other side due to drug trafficking also makes the death rate due to overdose increase. For this reason, Zainuddin asked the North Sumatra Police Chief to be responsible for the rampant drug trafficking.
"Odation of death is a common thing that we see. This is the responsibility of the North Sumatran Regional Police Chief legally. Because this concerns the order and comfort of the people of North Sumatra," he said.
