Indonesian Fugitives Caught In The US Violate Residence Permits
JAKARTA - Police Public Relations Division Karo Penmas, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that the Indonesian fugitive who was caught in the United States (US) was suspected of violating an overstay permit. Both are Indra Budiman and Sai Ngo NG.
"The suspect red notice on behalf of SNN and IB is currently in the United States and is undergoing legal proceedings related to immigration violations in the form of overstay," Awi told reporters, Wednesday, August 5.
Indra Budiman is a fugitive in connection with the alleged fraud and money laundering case related to the sale of the Swiss Bell Condotel in Kuta Bali.
"Indra Budiman alias IB according to Interpol red notice control number A5855 / 6 2018 issued on June 4 2018," said Awi.
Meanwhile, Sai Ngo NG was involved in a corruption case related to submitting 82 fictitious people's business loans (KUR) to Bank Jatim, Woltermongisidi Branch, Jakarta, from 2011 to 2012.
As for those caught by US security in two different locations. Indra Budiman was arrested in California, meanwhile, Sai Ngo NG was arrested in Texas on October 31, 2019.
Both of them will be returned to Indonesia to face their violations of the law. However, there are conditions put forward by the US government regarding their repatriation.
The US government wants to help the repatriation of the two from Indonesia and also wants to help repatriate US fugitive Marcus Beam who was arrested in Bali. He was arrested for being involved in making pornographic content. Both Indonesia and the US have agreed to exchange fugitives.
