Luhut's Subordinates In The Coordinating Ministry For Marves To Become Director General Of Mineral And Coal?
JAKARTA - The government reportedly has approved Ridwan Djamaludin as Director General of Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). Ridwan is Deputy III for Infrastructure Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment.
Ridwan will replace Bambang Gatot Ariyono who has retired since last May. Thus, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has a definitive Director General of Mineral and Coal.
However, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ego Syahrial has not yet dared to confirm Ridwan Djamaludin's appointment. However, Ego said that the position of Director General of Mineral and Coal has reached the final stage, it is just a matter of waiting for the Presidential Decree regarding this matter.
"It's just a matter of waiting for the Presidential Decree," said Ego when met at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 5.
Ridwan is the former Chairman of the Indonesian Geological Experts Association (IATGI). He is also a graduate of ITB Geology. Ridwan is also the chairman of the ITB alumni association.
Ridwan completed his master's degree at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. Then, he completed his doctoral degree at Texas A&M University with the same concentration in Geology.
Previously, there were several people who participated in the selection for the Director General of Mineral and Coal. They are Agung Pribadi who currently serves as the Head of the Communication Bureau for Public Information Services and Cooperation (KLIK), Mohamad Priharto Dwinugroho (Head of PPSDM Geominerba Center), Sujatmiko (Director of Development and Coal Business), and Yunus Saefulhak (Director of Mineral Development and Business) .
Meanwhile, the other two are officials from the Coordinating Ministry for Marves, namely Ridwan Djamaluddin and his subordinate officials, Yohannes Yudi Prabangkara who is the Assistant Deputy for Infrastructure Supporting Industries.
