US Fugitive 'Head Swapping' In Indonesia For Porn Content Suspects

JAKARTA - Marcus Beam, an Interpol fugitive who is a prerequisite for the repatriation of Indra Budiman and Sai Ngo NG from the United States has been arrested in Bali. Marcus was arrested for creating pornographic content.

"Detained at Polda Bali in a case of producing pornographic content," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono to reporters, Wednesday, August 5.

"At the time of arrest, the suspect was found together with his partner," he said.

Based on the examination, the reason Marcus produced pornographic content was to make money and survive during his escape on the Island of the Gods. Marcus is also known to have been in Bali since January.

In addition, Marcus is also known to have used a fake passport when he entered Indonesia. This is because he has been listed as a fugitive red notice number A1830 / 2 2020.

"The suspect used a fake passport number 506009601 in the name of De Mario Corner," said Awi.

Marcus is currently behind bars at the Bali Police detention center for the next 20 days. Until finally submitted to the US police as a fugitive exchange agreement.

Previously, the Indonesian Police Attache in Washington DC agreed to hand over Marcus Beam to the US Marshall Service (US MS). The handover was a form of cooperation in efforts to repatriate two Indonesian fugitives, Indra Budiman and Sai Ngo NG.

Indra Budiman is a fugitive in a fraud and money laundering case related to the sale of the Swiss-Bell Condotel in Kuta Bali. Meanwhile, Sai Ngo NG is a fugitive in a corruption case related to the submission of 82 fictitious people's business loans (KUR) to Bank Jatim, Woltermongisidi Branch, Jakarta.
