IMI Promises To Immediately Fulfill Marshal So That ATC Takes Place On Time
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Motorcycle Association (IMI), Bambang Soesatyo promised that his party will immediately fulfill the completeness of safety aspects at the Mandalika Circuit. This follows the postponement of the Asia Talent Cup (ATC) race due to lack of preparation.
“I am responsible as the General Chair of IMI as the regulator representing the world automotive sports federation in Indonesia. And we will immediately fulfill the completeness of safety aspects in accordance with the regulations issued by the FIM," said Bamsoet as quoted by Antara, Monday, November 15.
ATC 2021 was supposed to be held on Sunday, but unfortunately the race was canceled due to preparation problems.
Dorna Sport as the promoter of ATC 2021 previously set the standard for marshals or track officers on duty at each post to be eight people, but before the race that number has not been met.
"This is what we will complete," continued Bamsoet regarding the cause of the cancellation.
The Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) as the promoter on Sunday, November 14, apologized for having to postpone the 3rd series of ATC racing to next week to be held alongside the World Superbike (WSB) event on November 19-21.
As previously reported, the circuit was unable to meet the minimum safety aspects to hold the ATC event.
The ATC 2021 series will also be enlivened by four Indonesian racers, namely Fadillah Aditama, Herjun Firdaus, Herlian Dandi and Azryan Dheyo.
