Welcoming The IPO, Widodo Makmur Perkasa Implements ESG Principles In Optimizing Business Growth
JAKARTA - PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa (WMP), is a company engaged in the field of Consumer Goods and Agricultural Commodities that is holistically integrated with five business lines, namely Livestock, Meat Processing, Poultry, Commodity, and Construction & Energy.
In addition to prioritizing the integration between its five business lines in its business processes and growth strategy, WMP has also implemented Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in its business processes, as well as using these various ESG initiatives as catalysts in its future growth projections.
Various initiatives that have been carried out by WMP include the installation of solar panels at various company-owned facilities to support energy needs in the company's activities, as well as the development of livestock waste processing facilities into biofertilizers and biogas energy to support the needs of corn plantations that will be developed by the company.
The installation of solar panels at the company's facilities is divided into three stages, the first phase and the first phase were completed last October. This first phase will be divided into 3 phases, in which the first phase has been completed and will be continued with the second and third phases which are targeted to be completed in the first half of 2022.
In this first phase of installation, WMP targets the installation of solar panels with a capacity of 37.7 MWp of the company's total plan to apply solar panel infrastructure with a total capacity of 158 MWp, in all of its production facilities.
Meanwhile, WMP has also operated a facility for processing livestock waste into biofertilizer and biogas energy. WMP targets that in the future it will be able to produce 21,528 m3 of biogas energy per day, through a waste treatment facility that is being developed by the company.
CEO Widodo Makmur Perkasa Tumiyana said, the ESG principle is indeed one of the company's main guidelines in running a business in the food sector. His party will not only focus on business growth and provide added value for the company's shareholders later.

In addition, WMP is also committed to absorbing the produce of farmers and local farmers around its facilities, as well as running various coaching and training programs for young food industry players in Indonesia, centered in Joglo Tumiyono, Klaten, Central Java.
Although WMP is currently in the process of developing corn plantations in several locations throughout Indonesia in order to improve cost efficiency, especially in the supply of animal feed raw materials, WMP is committed to allocating a supply of 45 percent of its feed raw material needs to be absorbed from the agricultural products of local residents and local residents. local farmers to be able to maintain the balance of the people's economy in the company's activity area.
