Thanks To The National Police Chief Sigit, The Dream Of PON Athletes With Achievements In Police Uniforms Has Come True
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has realized Teuku Tegar Abadi's dream to become a police officer. Teuku Tegar is a pole vault athlete who has made Indonesia proud at the international and national levels.
"Mas Tegar will be visited by my members to be able to enter the police through the proactive recruitment route. Because the Police really need people who have achievements and of course we are happy for Mas Tegar to join," Sigit said while talking with Tegar as reported by Antara, Saturday, November 13 .
At the XX National Sports Week (PON) in Papua, Tegar won the gold medal. When he entered the Bhayangkara Corps, Sigit made sure that Tagar continued to practice pole vaulting.
"I make sure that Mas Tegar's activities will continue to be developed, we want Mas Tegar to become a police officer, as well as to represent the police to carry the name of the institution in the national and international arena. We certainly support that," he said.
The National Police Chief Sigit added that when he entered, Tegar would not be charged a penny. If in the process Tegar is asked for money by an individual, the former Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police asks to be reported to Propam.
Because, ability and achievement is the number one thing to become a law enforcement officer. "So I make sure that no one pays for entering the police," he said.
Sigit also congratulated Tegar for breaking the pole vault record. Sigit asked Tegar to continue practicing in order to prepare for the competition in next year's SEA Games.
At the end of the conversation with Tegar, Sigit stated that later the proactive recruitment process would be taken care of by the ranks. He asked Tegar to be diligent in exercising and maintaining health.

After realizing his dream by the National Police Chief, Tegar said he was happy and touched because he was given the opportunity to become a police officer, which was a dream he had wanted for a long time.
