Fadli Zon Sindir Jokowi About West Kalimantan Flood, Hasto PDIP: Only Criticism Without Real Action
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Fadli Zon satirized President Joko Widodo who inaugurated the Mandalika Circuit in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province. At the same time, West Kalimantan Province is still being hit by floods.
This was conveyed by Fadli through his Twitter account, @fadlizon. Fadli asked when Jokowi would visit Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan.
"It's amazing, sir. Congratulations on the inauguration of the Mandalika Circuit. When are you going to Sintang, the flood has not subsided for 3 weeks," Fadli tweeted, quoted on Saturday, November 13.

PDI Secretary General Peruangan Hasto Kristiyanto responded to Fadli Zon's statement. Hasto said Jokowi had instructed Social Minister Tri Rismaharini to provide assistance to flood-affected residents in West Kalimantan.
"Mrs. Risma as the Minister of Social Affairs has also received direct directions from President Jokowi and immediately moved, down to help the people in West Kalimantan. For days in West Kalimantan," said Hasto in his statement.
Hasto also quipped Fadli Zon. Hasto considers that the member of Commission I of the DPR RI has not done anything to help residents who are being hit by a disaster.
"Lazarus, the chairman of the PDI-P DPD and at the same time the chairman of Commission V of the DPR RI, has been directly involved in helping the people. Meanwhile, Mr. Fadli Zon has only given criticism without any concrete actions," he said.
Hasto said that the inauguration of the Mandalika Circuit by Jokowi was important for the people of NTB. The international racing event is one of the conceptions of the development of Indonesia Centris.
"Pak Jokowi does not see what and how the results of the legislative and presidential elections in NTB are. However, his job as president is to promote equitable progress in all regions of the Republic of Indonesia without discriminating against political choices. That is what Mr. Fadli Zon should see," added Hasto.
