Dani Alves Returns To Camp Nou, What Are Barcelona Chasing From Older Players?
JAKARTA - The giant Spanish La Liga club, FC Barcelona is starting to bring in players who were the key to success in the past. After presenting Xavi Hernandez, now the Blaugrana bring Dani Alves back to Camp Nou, their headquarters.
The signal for Dani Alves' return to Camp Nou actually started blowing hard after Barcelona officially appointed Xavi Hernandez as coach to replace Ronald Koeman. But when the news emerged, Alves was reportedly going back to Camp Nou not as a player.
Alves is said to be returning to his old home as management. This is considered by the club considering Alves' age is no longer young, 38 years old.
But in fact, Barcelona did bring back Alves as a player. The Brazilian will officially join the squad starting next week.
"FC Barcelona and Dani Alves have reached an agreement for the player to join the first team for the remainder of the season," read a club statement released on its official website, Saturday, November 13 in the morning.
"The Brazilian will join training sessions starting next week, but will not play until January. The club will announce full details in its official presentation as a Barcelona player," continued a club statement.
Before finally being officially brought back to Barcelona, Dani Alves' fate was in limbo. He has not declared hanging up his boots from the world of football, but has not yet found a club to take shelter after leaving Sao Paulo.
Alves is an energetic full-back who has the ability to defend and attack equally well. His quality is also what makes Barcelona able to win many titles when strengthened by him.
The Brazilian international played for Barcelona from 2008 to 2016. In eight years he made 391 appearances in all competitions, scored 21 goals and won 23 titles in various competitions.
